PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) recorded a 21% increase in sales tax on services during the first nine months of FY2025–26, collecting Rs34.6 billion compared to Rs28.6 billion in the same period last year.

The increase of Rs6 billion reflects higher compliance, improved enforcement, and expansion of the provincial services tax base, according to official data released by the authority.

Overall revenue collection reached Rs38.8 billion during July–March, including Rs4.2 billion generated through Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC).

Officials said the growth in sales tax on services remained the main contributor to revenue performance during the period, supporting overall collections.

KPRA Director General Irum Naz attributed the increase to planning measures, enforcement efforts, and institutional performance, expressing confidence in meeting annual targets.

She also acknowledged taxpayer participation and credited provincial leadership for supporting revenue mobilisation efforts.
