KUWAIT CITY: A Kuwaiti teenage boy and a girl were arrested in the chalets area in South Kuwait for the possession of drugs. In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior revealed a security team was on duty in the area when it noticed a vehicle parked in a suspicious manner in the chalets area. The securitymen checked the car, as well as the identification documents of the driver and his companion. They also found drugs in their possession.
They referred the suspects to the concerned authorities to take the legal necessary procedures against them.
Meanwhile, personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control have arrested four Arabs of the same nationality for trafficking in drugs, sources said here the other day. They added, acting on a tip-off and armed with a search and arrest warrant police raided the apartment of two of the suspects and seized from them 250 grams of hashish and 50 grams of marijuana. The two men then guided police to their accomplices and from the accomplices police seized 50 grams of hashish. They have been handed over to the authorities.
