KARACHI: Transfers and postings at a large scale are in the offing in Federal Board of Revenue after the end of Fiscal Year 2013-14.

FBR sources informed Customs Today that the federal government, due to the significant and continued shortfall in revenue collection throughout the year, is mulling over to bring some changes in the top brass of FBR.

Sources further revealed this scribe that the FBR officers were making their efforts in order to collect more revenue in the remaining 15 days of the fiscal year 2013-14.

“By the selection of Tariq Bajwa, as Chairman FBR and Nisar Muhammad Ali Khan as Member Customs, the federal government was quite satisfied that the FBR will generate desirable results for collecting and achieving revenue targets. However, the recent law and order situation and decline in import quantum will not allow the FBR to achieve revenue targets,” sources added.
