NEW YORK: Next week the latest installment in the blockbuster “Call of Duty” video game franchise goes on sale. Besides that the prominent retailers including Best Buy and Wal-Mart will sell a special edition of the game beginning one day early.
For its millions of fans, “Call of Duty” launches amount to a holiday each year.Several retailers will be selling a special “Day Zero” edition of “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” 24 hours before the new game’s official release next Tuesday. The special edition game will be available at Wal-Mart, Best Buy and other stores starting at 12:01 a.m. Monday. The regular edition, which is the same game without the extras, comes out on Tuesday. Each version will cost $60.The launch coincides with Wal mart’s announcement that it has started selling used video games in 1,700 of its stores.
