TOKYO: Lexus will recall back their new 2015 Lexus NX 200t model due to the ABS actuator possibly being damaged during the assembly process.
According to the press release provided by Lexus, the ABS actuator is connected to the Anti-Lock Braking System, Vehicle Stability Control System and also Traction Control System. If damage, the actuator might not function properly, leading to the car losing its stability, which in turn can increase the risk of crashing.
Toyota reported that they have not been any crashes, injuries or death connected to this issue. The recall will be affected a total of 3000 units for their new 2015 Lexus NX 200t. Those affected by the recall will be notified via first class mail.
Lexus will be inspecting the ABS actuator, if damaged, the actuator will be replaced with a new one for free. Customers can contact Toyota or Lexus to get more information about the recall.
