NEW YORK: LG has introduced its first Android 5.0 based tablet, G Pad F 7.0. The tablet will initially be released on telecom operator Sprint in the United States. There is no word on the international launch at this point.

LG G Pad F 7.0 features a 7-inch 1366x768p IPS display, 1.2GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4000 mAh battery. In addition, LG has included 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera and 1.2MP front shooter in the phone.

Other specifications of the device include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, IR LED, Bluetooth and GPS.

According to Sprint, the G Pad F 7.0 will be available free in select retail channels with a new two-year contract and data plan as long as the customer has an active smartphone on their Sprint account. The consumers can also purchase it with Sprint Easy Pay for $0 down and 24 easy monthly payments of $10 (SRP: $240).

“LG G Pad F 7.0 is a perfect companion to any Android smartphone, especially with these low-cost purchasing options. Once again, Sprint proves that we are the best value in wireless by giving our customers a dynamic tablet at no cost or the option to add it to the $90 Family Share Pack plan with up to 5 devices and 12 GB of data. There is no better time to choose Sprint for all your wireless needs,” said David Owens, senior vice president–Product, Sprint.

At the given price-tag, it is a quite decent option for anyone looking for a budget 4G tablet on Sprint.
