LONDON: Singapore’s second largest mobile operator, M1, announced that its mobile network now supports 4G Voice or Voice over LTE (VoLTE) calls. The VoLTE calls will be supported by M1’s LTE-Advanced network, which boosts download speeds of up to 300Mbps. The high definition calls for customers on 4G plans will be priced as normal call charges.
According to M1, the 4G Voice feature is designed to work seamlessly between M1’s 3G and 4G networks, to deliver uninterrupted conversation to customers. In addition, the VoLTE will allow faster connection times compared to standard mobile calls.
