KARACHI: A majority of officials, who are deployed to collect taxes, have failed to submit their tax returns.
Sources in the Federal Board of Revenue told Customs Today that the FBR has already directed the officials concerned to submit their tax returns. According to income tax Ordinance 2001 section 182, these officials are bound to file their income tax returns within four days after receiving the notice.
The FBR authorities are going to take strict action against officials who did not submit their income tax returns for the year 2014. After receiving strict instructions from FBR most of officials are preparing to submit income tax returns.
