Malaysia police seize 10kg heroin, 20,000 ecstasy pills worth RM940,000

GEORGE TOWN: Three men believed to be involved in processing heroine and ecstasy pills was arrested at terrace house at Lorong Padang Tembak here at 7pm here the other day.

The three suspects, aged between 20 to 50 years old, was detained by a team of policemen from the Police Contingent headquarters Narcotics Crime Department following tip off from the public and investigations.

State Narcotics Crime Department chief Superintendent Guan Beng Kiang said police found some 10 kgs of heroine estimated to be worth RM140,000 and some 20,000 ecstasy pills estimated to be worth RM800,000.

“We also found drug making paraphernalia as well as a Toyota Altis and Proton Wira believed to belong to the suspects at the house,” he added.

Guan said the case was being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drug Act 1953.

Police is expected to hold a press conference later in the day.
