KARACHI: The police recovered over 7,000-kilogramme of marijuana worth said to be Rs600 million from Rashid Minhas Road here.
The police on routine checking intercepted a trailer near Moti Mehal stop and recovered the marijuana and arrested six accused persons of the drug mafia including a man and his two sons.
Muhammad Akhter, Muhammad Ziab and Hayat Muhammad were arrested on the spot while remaining three persons were arrested on the information of the accused men. Police said the gang sought to smuggle the stuff abroad where it cost millions of dollars.
