CALIFORNIA: New Mazda model CX-3 crossover is the most important it directly objects the fastest growing part on the auto industry with a fresh approach that so many companies seem to lack these days.

The Mazda2 supermini crossover is pleasant to look at and sets all the latest Skyactiv technology to make it go fast. It does not have so far is a sports model, since the highest output engine available is going to be a vanilla tasted 2-liter.

X Tomi graphics designer created that sports model, what we are looking at in this fresh version, to give the CX-3 some Mazda Performance Series (MPS) quality, he set up larger brakes, 18-inch wheels, planted the body lower onto the wheels and made slight beauty changes to the bodywork.
We were to request Mazda to put this car into manufacture today. There’s simply not sufficient money to build up a place model like a hot crossover. However if they start to sell hundreds of thousands of these every year, they might change their minds.

The 2.3-liter in the old MPS version of the CX-3 is too dry and the company needs to develop a smaller 2-liter turbo, which they likely plan to do anyway in order to replace all V6 engines. But hybrid development and the CX-9 substitute take importance. The big problem with Mazda is currently doesn’t have a suitable engine to put in any hot car.
