BERLIN: Mercedes-Benz has showed off a teaser sketch of its coming new GLC Coupe SUV, ahead of a Shanghai Auto Show debut later this month.

Like the larger GLE Coupe and its coming battle with BMW’s big X6, the new GLC Coupe will enter as Mercedes-Benz’s answer to the smaller new BMW X4.

And, while the GLC Coupe will wear a tapered roofline and sports-styled rear, we can expect its face to offer a clear preview of the more practical GLC SUV that will debut at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

The new GLC, which will replace the overseas GLK in Mercedes’ global line-up, is expected to hit Australia later this year, while the GLC Coupe should land sometime in early 2016.
