ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate preventive department has seized the smuggled Toyota Hilux Surf Model 1992 and sent it to the Customs Adjudication. Adjudication Collector Seema Raza Bukhari has issued show cause notice to the owner Raja Zahoor Ahmed Abbasi and ordered to appear before court on Jan 27 with the documents. The accused has said that he has bought the car from an army officer. The car proved tempered in forensic reports. A letter had been written to Excise and Taxation office Sialkot but there was no response. Customs Superintendent Preventive asked the accused to appear before court but to no avail. Collector Seema has issued final show cause notice and will give decision in case of absence keeping in view the available evidences.
