Motorola Moto X2 vs Motorola Moto G: Prices, specification comparison on board

KOREA: The Motorola Moto G has IPS LCD screen which measures 4.5 inches, and renders a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels at 26ppi pixel density. Its physical dimensions are 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm, weighs 143 grams, and its protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Moto X2 has a bigger 5.2 inch AMOLED display, which can render an impressive resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 424 ppi. It weighs 144 grams with the dimensions of 140.8 x 72.4 x 10 mm, and also has the Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.

According from GSMArena, the Moto G has Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 Quad-core Cortex-A7 clocked at 1.2 GHz, partnered with a Adreno 305 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM, with two variants of internal memory: 16, and 32 GB. Its operating system runs on the Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean), which can be upgraded to v5.0 (Lollipop).

The Moto X2 has a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 Quad-core Krait 400 clocked at 2.5 GHz, paired with the Adreno 330 for graphics. It has 2GB of RAM, and also has 16, and 32 GB variants of internal memory. It runs on the Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat), which is also upgradable to the v5.0 (Lollipop) version.

For the battery and camera specs, The Moto G has a 5MP primary camera, while the secondary shooter is at 1.3 MP. The Moto X2 on the other hand has a better primary shooter of 13 MP, and a secondary 2 MP camera. The two Motorola phones have similar features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR.

The Moto G has a non-removable Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery that last 24 hours, while the Moto X2 has a Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery.

The Motorola Moto X2 cost around $500, while the Moto G is at $180.
