The Lollipop update will have the build number 23.11.33. and will be an over-the-air one. In addition, it will include several features characteristic to Android 5.1 and Android 5.0 including battery saver mode via Project Volta, Android ART runtime, new security features, two-finger Quick Settings menu from any page, the new Recent Apps page, Material Design and Lock Screen notifications.

The Android 5.1 update will bring many bug fixes for issues prevalent in Android 5.0. However, this does not mean that the update will not have issues and bugs.

Motorola’s Luciano Carvalho said that with lots of different environment conditions and lots of usage variations, presently, it is not possible to make it bug free.

Furthermore, it is not known if the Android 5.1 update will fix the problems owners have been experiencing with the Droid Turbo’s battery.

The Motorola Droid Turbo comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is powered by a Snapdragon 805 SoC and has 3GB of RAM and 32GB and 64GB options, according to report.
