Multan Adjudication decides 165 seizure cases of worth Rs401.346m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has decided 165 seizure cases of worth Rs401.346 million during first three months of economic year 2019-20.

According to details, the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication has done prompt justice by disposing well number of seizure cases after completion of their trial. There were 58 seizure cases of worth Rs31.001 million settled by deputy collector Customs Adjudication after their hearing during the on-going economic year.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication has finalized highest number of seizure cases after trial and decided 95 seizure cases of worth Rs167.907 million for the duration of (July to September) fiscal year 2019-20.

Collector Customs Adjudication Dr. Muhammad Adnan Akram has decided 12 various seizure cases of value Rs202.438 million after conclusions during first three months of the current monetary year 2019-20.

Customs Adjudication Multan has decided several tax evasion and seizure cases in the favour of tax payer after collection of duty taxes and imposing penalty but majority of seizure cases were finalized in the favour of Customs department. These tax evasion, seizure cases and contraventions were formed by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Anti-Smuggling Organization and Audit branch of the Multan Customs.

The Customs Adjudication Multan has more than 150 various seizure cases of worth millions available for hearing. These seizure cases were still under adjudication in the Customs Adjudication Multan of Deputy Collector, Additional Collector and Collector.

Customs Adjudication Multan has included 28 fresh seizure cases of Rs.75.145 million in the month of September which are under adjudication and in most of fresh cases Show-cause notices to the respondents and offenders have been issued.

Customs Adjudication Multan is disposing all seizure cases speedily on merit to provide quick justice through transparent hearing.
