KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started its investigations of the record of clearance of imported consignments from December 2014 to June 2015.
Sources told Customs Today that NAB authorities already obtained record from MCC West, MCC East, and Port Qasim from the last seven months in this regard. Sources disclosed that after scrutinizing all the record, NAB authorities will highlight persons and departments which are involved in mis-declaration and tax evasion of billions of rupees.
Sources said that information will be also obtained from custom officials and strict action will be taken against those clearing agents and importers who caused loss of billions of rupees to national exchequer.
