Names of Zulfi Bukhari, Fawad Hassan Fawad placed on ECL

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s former principal secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan’s close aide Zulfi Bukhari have been placed on Exit Control List (ECL) on Wednesday.

According to the media reports their names have been placed on the ECL on the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Zulfi has banned to leave the country due to ongoing NAB inquiry against him pertaining to offshore companies.

On July 21 the IHC directed Zulfi Bukhari to appear before NAB. He was barred to leave Pakistan he proceeded to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah on June 11. Later Zulfi was granted one-time permission to go abroad for six-days by the Interior Ministry.

Fawad Hussain Fawad’s name also placed on ECL as he is also accused in various corruption cases and arrested by NAB on July 5.
