CANADA: Mars mission is really preparing for sail as another project is scheduled to launch on March 2016, NASA’s InSight Mars lander. The spacecraft is abbreviated for Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations Geodesy and Heat Transport. It is planned to leave Earth from its position in Vanderberg Air Force Base in California, which NASA expects to arrive on the Red planet six months after.
The lander is only about the size of a car created to study the deep interiors of the planet. it will give further insights about rocky planets by revealing the secrets of its core.
When the lander provides NASA with all the information they need, then it will serve as another backbone for the Mars journey set on 2030s. InSight is expected to obtain technical capabilities and knowledge about anything important in terms of the planet’s land composition. This understanding will help the manned mission to Mars.
“Today, our robotic scientific explorers are paving the way, making great progress on the journey to Mars. Together, humans and robotics will pioneer Mars and the solar system,” said Jim Green, the Director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division, during an interview conducted in Washington.
InSight will initially undergo a test flight in order for the team to assess its ability to operate and function properly during deep space travel and under subjection to harsh environmental conditions, such as that on Mars.
