COPENHAGEN: NCSP Group hereby reports that its consolidated cargo turnover for five months 2015 reached 58.7 million tonnes, exceeding that of same period 2014 by 1% or 0.6 million tonnes.
Liquid cargo volume totaled 46 284 thousand tonnes; bulk cargo – 4 391 thousand tonnes; general cargo – 5 916 thousand tonnes; and containers – 2 093 thousand tonnes and 200 thousand TEU. Bulk and general cargo combined increased by 813 thousand tonnes and 8.6% year-on-year. In particular, volumes of ferrous metals and pig iron increased 17.5% year-on-year, which is 6.3 percent points faster that industry’s average growth rate, and in May versus April 2015 this cargo was up by 7.4%. The lifting of wheat export duty since May 23, and extra volumes of barley and corn drove grain volumes up by 50% and 151 thousand tonnes in May versus April 2015.
Volumes of chemical cargo and iron ore increased by 158% and 88% in May over April. PJSC NCSP and PJSC Novoroslesexport handled 36.3 thousand TEU of containers in May 2015, which is 13.8% more, NCSP Group handles 46 284 thousand tonnes of liquid cargo in January – May 2015. Crude oil volumes totaled 31 867 thousand tonnes. Oil products volumes were up by 1 735 thousand tonnes and 14% reaching 14 047 thousand tonnes. Oil products’ growth rate exceeded that of the industry by 2 percent points. UAN and seed oils volumes for 5M 2015 comprised 229 thousand tonnes and 142 thousand tonnes respectively.
