TAIPET: Taiwan based merchant solar cell and module producer Neo Solar Power (NSP) reported a decline in shipments and revenue, due to an end of year slowdown in demand, while highlighting shipments within Taiwan reached a record high as domestic demand continued to increase. NSP reported Novemeber 2017 sales of NT$ 1,110 million down 12.71% from the previous month but a 23.62% increase over the prior year period.
Year to date cumulative revenues reached NT$ 9,231 million as of November 30th, 2017. Cumulative revenue remains down around 40% year on year
NSP noted that November shipment volumes (no figures released) were said to have set a historical high for single month in November. NSP through its downstream project arm is expected to continue to focus PV projects in Taiwan and expects domestic demand to continue to increase in 2018.
