New Zealand dollar strengthens against major currencies in Asian trade

NEW YORK: The New Zealand dollar strengthened against most major currencies in the Asian session on Tuesday.

The NZ dollar rose to 0.7438 against the U.S. dollar, from yesterday’s closing quote of 0.7403.

Against the yen and the euro, the kiwi edged up to 88.12 and 1.5238 from yesterday’s closing quotes of 87.85 and 1.5278, respectively.

If the kiwi extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.77 against the greenback, 92.00 against the yen and 1.47 against the euro.
