ABUJA: Nigeria Customs authority in charge of Seme Area Command has destroyed frozen poultry products worth N13.5 million.
Officials of Port Health Service, Agricultural Quarantine Service, Directorate of State Security (DSS) and National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) monitored the exercise.
Items destroyed include cartons of poultry products, bags of expired flour and used textile. The items were intercepted by Customs operatives attached to Seme Area Command, Lagos, while they were being smuggled into the country from Benin Republic on January 24, 2015.
