ISLAMABAD: Punjab motorists and industrialists have to face problems as there will be no gas for CNG and industrial sectors from November 15 to March 15 in the province and the federal capital as well. However, gas supply will continue in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as usual.

This decision was taken during a meeting held under the chair of Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. The minister said that in winter, the demand for gas by domestic consumers would increase, therefore, it would not be possible to provide gas to the CNG sector and domestic consumers would be given preference, in addition to the power sector. Over 300,000 new gas connections were given in the domestic sector, due to which the demand for gas had swelled, the meeting was told.
