OSLO: Norwegian exports of natural gas to Europe rose on Monday from last Friday on higher deliveries to Germany while flows to Britain remained broadly steady, data from gas system operator Gassco showed.

Total pipeline flows from Norway to Europe were running at 323 mcm/day by 0900 GMT, below this winter’s peak of 357 mcm hit on Feb. 12. Deliveries via the Langeled pipeline, Britain’s main subsea gas import route, were running at 45 mcm/day, slightly higher than last Friday but well below its full capacity of 72 mcm/day.

“An outage of 5.7 mcm/day at Gudrun field that started on March 5 and and will continue until March 16 can only partly explain the observed drop in Norwegian production,” analysts at Thomson Reuters Point Carbon said. The following table shows Norwegian pipeline gas flows, measured in mcm/day, compared with the previous session’s average: Destination Real time Pvs business Change day (mcm) Britain 85 82 3 Germany & Netherlands 140 132 8 France 55 54 1 Belgium 43 43 0 Total 323 311 12 NOTE: Real-time gas export figures are based on gas fed into the system at a certain time and calculated as a daily average. Levels can vary throughout the day as producers adjust the amount of gas they export, according to changing nominations, or orders, from customers.
