BUDAPEST: Last year, the Hungarian branch of Austrian Oberbank’s profit was “in the millions of euros preceded by a single digit”, chairman-CEO Franz Gasselsberger told journalists in Budapest yesterday.
According to the CEO, last year was the bank’s best so far in the country. Oberbank concentrates on state-subsidized loans for businesses with annual revenue under €50 mln, the CEO added. Deputy head of the branch Tamás Fischer said that the bankʼs NPL ratio in Hungary stands at just 3%.
