Onboard crew sues shipping giant Qingdao Zhenghe on unpaid salaries

DALIAN: The crew of shipping giant, Qingdao Zhenghe Shipping Group, sued the company for allegedly not paying them for their work for a year now.

Sources said that as Chinese New Year approaches, the crew has gathered to demand the company pay their outstanding salary, with some of them taking legal action by filing a lawsuit against the company at Qingdao Maritime Court.

A crew member of the company said he and 200 other people haven’t been paid since last February. An official from the company declined to comment on the matter when contacted by SinoShip News.

Zhenghe Shipping Group offers both domestic and international shipping services, and it also runs a shipbuilding facility in Zhejiang.
