ISLAMABAD: Namibia is the second top tourists’ attraction in the world after Singapore and Pakistan can get access to 14 Southern Africa countries by promoting trade and economic relations with the country.
It is right for Pakistani investors to explore Namibian market to finding out business opportunities which is being tapping by the Chinese investors.
Namibian Ambassador in Pakistan Ringo F Abed stated this while addressing member of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) during a visit to the chamber.
He declared that his country was keen to enhance trade with Pakistan on mutually beneficial grounds, and Pakistani investors should explore it for investment and joint ventures.
The envoy claimed that Namibia was politically stable and peaceful country and the government was taking measures to create conducive environment for business activities. The ambassador pointed out that many Chinese investors were already tapping Namibia for investment and the time was ripe for Pakistanis explore business opportunities in his country.
He emphasized that Pakistan had great potential to invest in hospitality industry, tourism, agriculture, livestock and many other areas.
Ringo F Abed said Namibia was facing shortage of skilled manpower, especially doctors, engineers, technicians and nurses etc. and stressed that Pakistan should help his country in preparing well-trained and skilled human resource. He said ICCI should consider sending a business delegation to Namibia and develop strong linkages with Namibian Chamber of Commerce & Industry establishing business partnership. He assured that Embassy of Namibia based in Beijing, China would extend full cooperation to facilitate Pakistani entrepreneurs in visiting his country.
ICCI Acting President Muhammad Shakeel Munir briefed the envoy about economic potential of Pakistan.
