WARSAW: Poland has become the fourth country to ratify the BEPS multilateral instrument, the OECD has announced on its website. Thus, only one more country must ratify the document for it to become effective is designed to allow countries to easily add to their bilateral tax treaties additional provisions that curtail tax avoidance by multinationals and improve cross-border tax dispute resolution.
These measures were agreed to by nations in 2015 OECD/G20 base erosion profit shifting (BEPS) plan agreements. In June 2017, over 70 Ministers and other officials signed the document. It has since been signed by eight more countries.
