Poland’s sets target a growth of 36% by 2020

WARSAW: The volume of Polish exports increased by 2,069 percent throughout the last 25 years, in the next five years it is to rise by 35.6 percent, on average 5.2 percent per year, Grant Thornton estimated in a report. Polish firms will sell more outside Europe, and less to the EU.

In 2014, Polish products were sold in 218 countries, according to data by GUS, cited by Grant Thronton in the report. As exports increase in total by 35.6 percent, Polish exports to the US will grow (+67.4 percent) the most significantly in terms of particular countries.

However, what is worth noticing, sales of Polish products to both Americas will record important growth. Their share within the entire export market will reach 4.2 percent in 2020 (in 2015 it should stand at 3.5 percent), the report also read. The biggest decline will be noted in the share of exports to the EU, which will correspond to 72.7 percent, 4.4 percent less than in 2015.
