WARSAW: Poland’s average corporate gross wage measured PLN 4,002.16 in May, as it rose by 3.2% year on year on a 2.9% month on month decrease, the Central Statistics Office (GUS) said.
Economists surveyed by PAP Polish news agency expected a 3.7% corporate wage growth year on year on a monthly decrease of 2.4%. Poland’s corporate employment measured 5.577 million people in May, up by 1.1% y/y and flat m/m vs. 1.1% annual growth and no monthly change expected.
The tie up of jobs and wages pushed the nominal corporate wage bill up by 4.3% year on year on a 2.9% monthly decrease, calculations against the data showed.
