INDIANAPOLIS: Officers of the Financial Police on Tuesday detained the 42-year-old manager of a gas station in Attica on charges of fuel smuggling and tax evasion.
An inspection by tax authorities for the first quarter of 2013 revealed that the gas station had supplied 1,800 liters of diesel which, however, did not match the quantity of fuel it purchased from suppliers.
The gas station is alleged to have evaded payment of some 1,000 euros in taxes and tariffs.
