According to Junardi, there were eight supects involved in the case and have been arrested. The suspects were initially intended to ship the coffees from Sidoarjo, East Java, to Bogor, but made a detour to Jakarta. “Reports said that an expedition truck carrying coffee owned by PT. Karura with initials MRF and ABDKR had sold the content of the truck,” he said.

Junardi says PT. Karura had suffered Rp 350 million in damages.  The suspects are now in the custody of Metro Jaya Police.  “They are charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code on thievery and Article 372 of the Criminal Code on embezzlement with a penalty of nine years imprisonment,” he said.
