WARSAW: The Industrial Development Agency (ARP) is set to spend around PLN 1.3 billion on innovative undertakings, including capital investments and support for projects in the formula of open innovation. The agency will also run the Platform for Technology Transfer (Platforma Transferu Technologii – PTT), a place for business cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and innovative projects, said Aleksandra Mogaczewska, head of the ARP at the 7th European Economic Congress in Katowice.
“Research shows that Polish entrepreneurs want to implement innovative technologies. There are also funds earmarked for this purpose. However, despite the improving situation every year, the Polish economy is still seen as noninnovative,” said Magaczewska.
“The platform will connect partners interested in the development, sale and acquisition of innovative solutions. An important feature of the platform will be the possibility to report demand for a particular kind of technology. As part of the program, the ARP will also assist in financing licenses and rights to use technology, as well as in advisory services from EU funds,” Magaczewska added.
