Portugal stocks lower at close of trade; PSI 20 down 0.00%

LISBON: Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 1.69% or 0.195 points to trade at 11.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae (LS:YSO) added 1.64% or 0.0150 points to end at 0.9280 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 1.48% or 0.215 points to 14.750 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which fell 2.68% or 0.0240 points to trade at 0.8730 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 1.85% or 0.060 points to end at 3.190 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.54% or 0.0750 points to 13.7800.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.46% or 0.24 to $52.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.60% or 0.30 to hit $50.10 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1266.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1179, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.8704.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 97.30.
