ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has directed the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) to improve the transmission line and electric infrastructure with the help of private sector.
The president issued the directive while talking to a Nepra delegation headed by its Chairman Tariq Saddozai who informed him about authority’s performance and future plans.
According to a spokesperson for the Presidency, Hussain discussed matters relating to the performance of Nepra and asked the delegation to break the networks of corrupt elements in electricity generation and distribution sectors.
