PTA introduces Mobile App Awards 2015 for best cellular services

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched the Pakistan Mobile App Awards 2015 in collaboration with the mobile operators, Internet Society (ISOC) Asia-Pacific Bureau and Samsung Pakistan.

The PTA has invited individuals from Pakistan to submit innovative mobile applications in six different categories, with an overall objective to promote the use of high-speed mobile internet for the benefit of the society. It will be a platform neutral contest to ensure equal opportunity regardless of the operating system.

Applications can be submitted for Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows phone. According to the PTA, all submissions are subject to pre-defined criteria which include innovation (no re-use of already existing applications), ease of use and impact of the application.
