Punjab business delegation leaves for Belarus

LAHORE: A 10-member delegation headed by Punjab Mines & Minerals Minister Sher Ali Khan here Tuesday left for Belarus to discover the potential of collaboration pertaining to the trade and investment.

The delegation comprising Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) CEO Mohammad Ilyas Ghauri, Special Secretary Agriculture Department, Gulzar Hussain Shah, Managing Director Punjab Small Industries Corporation, Bilal Ahmad Butt, Chief Executive Dairy Solution Pvt. Limited, Syed Hassan Raza, Director BAMS Group Pvt. Ltd Babar Azeem and others went to Belarus.

During the six-day visit, the delegation will hold meetings with prominent authorities of Belarus including Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei V. Kobyakov and the Mayor of Minsk, Andrei V. Shorets.

The delegation was formed by PBIT on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and was a first ever delegation sent to Belarus from Punjab to discover the potential of collaboration pertaining to the trade and investment.

This initiative aimed at promoting business ties between both of the countries and to enable participants from the business community of Punjab to interact with the business community of Belarus in an efficient yet effective manner.

The PBIT team will provide facilitation to the participants particularly in activities crucial to promote trade and investment between the two regions such as business to business meetings, promotion of the potential projects, provision of the in depth market knowledge and consultancy services where required.
