Quetta Customs seizes smuggled goods worth Rs100m near Lakpass

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement and Compliance (E&C) recovered smuggled goods, which were being transported in two vehicles near Lakpas check-post. The value of the seized goods and vehicles comes to Rs100 million.

Sources told that Collector Irfan Javed received credible information that huge quantity of smuggled goods will be smuggled through different vehicles. He immediately directed Additional Collector Yasir Kalwar regarding movement of smuggled goods,

Sources told that two separate anti-smuggling squads were formed led by Deputy Collector Akbar Jan and Deputy Collector Saleem Tahir.

The anti-smuggling squads seized Iranian products including confectionary and dried milk near Lakpas. While betel nut was recovered from a vehicle at Rakhni near Punjab-Baluchistan border.
