Red Bull, Ferrari challenging major changes in Formula One engine systems

ABU DHABI: After Mercedes power of this season’s world championship, Red Bull and Ferrari are challenging major changes to Formula One engine systems next year.

But team champions Mercedes are not intense on plans to allow their rivals limited in season engine development and have indicated they will obstinately defend their current advantage. Ferrari and Red Bull want rule changes to cut costs and improve their competitiveness..
