MEXICO: Researchers at KAIST Urban Robotics Lab, in South Korea, have developed a quadrotor with wheels that can scale walls like Spider-Man, but can defy gravity by flying back to its spot if it falls.
The robot that could potentially wash windows or get close enough to inspect infrastructure, researchers say.
In a description that KAIST Urban Robotics Lab published below its intriguing YouTube video (see below) that debuts the drone’s impressive maneuvers: “As civil structures become massive and high, the maintenance and inspection for the structures are getting important, however most of the conventional maintenance and inspection methods are labor-intensive.”
