Russia extends €1,200m credit to Cuba

HAVANA: According to news portal RT, Russian government will grant credit to Cuba worth 1,200 million euros.
The news, published on the website referred to and provided by RIA Novosti, add that the amount received will go to the construction of two blocks of two power plants.
Thanks to an agreement between the two governments, Cuba could invest resources in the construction of four power generation units of 200 MW for thermal power stations Maximo Gomez and the East Havana.
This is not the first agreement of its kind between the goverments, the Council of Ministers of Russia itself approved a credit of 100 million dollars to the Island for the expansion and modernization of the metallurgical plant Antillana de Acero José Martí.
