NEW DEHLI: Motorola Moto G and Samsung fight is in full swing against each other in phones market. Both manufacturers have produced excellent, premium phones, but how will they deliver when it comes to their midrange line?
The Galaxy A5 measures 5.48 x 2.74 x 0.26 inches and weighs 4.34 ounces. Meanwhile, the Moto G measures 5.57 x 2.78 x 0.43 inches, making it a tad larger than the Samsung phone. It’s also heavier at 5.26 ounces.
When it comes to variety, the Samsung smartphone wins as it comes in black, gray, pink, blue, white, and gold, while the Moto G is only available in black or white.
The Moto G wins points for durability as the device is splash proof, meaning the device will be fine if it gets accidentally spilled on, but it’s not advisable to dunk it in water or go swimming with it.
Both phones have a 5-inch display, however, the Galaxy A5 has a Super AMOLED screen, while the Moto G has an IPS LCD display. Both have a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The Moto G’s display is made of sturdier material as it has a layer of Gorilla Corning Glass 3.
The Galaxy A5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2GB RAM and runs on the Android KitKat. The handset has 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB with a microSD card.
The Moto G has a quad core Cortex A7 processor with 1GB RAM and also runs on the Android KitKat. It has an internal memory of 8GB which can be expanded up to 64GB.
As for the cameras, the Galaxy A5 wins with its 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera versus the Moto G’s 8MP main snapper and 2MP front-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 costs $480, while the Motorola Moto G costs $180.
