BEIJING: Samsung and Apple have been going at it for so long that we’re no longer even keeping score. But the truth is that, in a sense, the two companies competed indirectly. Sure, a lot of people still considered what both had to offer before settling on a device, but that choice was often already made for them – even if they didn’t know it at the time. You liked big screens? Apple was a no go, then. You wanted to go lightweight and compact? Not with Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 offers a camera of 16MP along with one of 2MP on the front. The device has a battery that is 2800mAh and the handset comes with features including the fingerprint scanner. It is available in 16GB or 32GB and costs around $199 with a contract. You can boost storage thanks to SD card to another 128GB.

The iPhone 6 has a weight of 4.55 ounces along with measurements of 5.44 x 2.64 x 0.27 inches. The display is IPS LCD at 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1334 x 750. This display comes in smaller than that of the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The iPhone 6 comes with an 8MP camera on the back and one of 1.2MP on the front. It has a battery of 1810mAh. It too offers a fingerprint scanner along with Touch ID. It comes in choices of 16GB, 32GB and 128GB, however it is let down by no SD card. The phone comes on contract for around $199 for the 16GB, the 32GB is $299 and the 64GB comes in at $399.

So would you go for the iPhone 6 or the Samsung Galaxy S5?
