SARGODHA: The Excise and Taxation (E&T) department has started an operation against vehicles using illegal number plates and tinted glasses besides defaulters of token taxes.
According to Director E&T Rana Intikhab Hussain, about 2,458 vehicles were checked on Friday in Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakhar districts.
He said that 621 illegal number plates were removed, 63 vehicles taken into custody while documents of 200 vehicles were seized.
