Saudi Customs will hold a workshop with the private sector

RIYADH: General Customs Department in Riyadh , held on Wednesday 1438/8/7 AH corresponding to 2017/5 3 / first workshops with the private sector to discuss the current challenges facing the private sector in the import and export process, as well as access to their aspirations and future plans.

The workshop included in its many topics on the agenda of which display the current status of the Customs and future plans to create the appropriate environment for the business sector and challenges related to customs work. Where the participants were divided into a number of working groups to discuss obstacles and participation proposal and put forward a number of solutions that work with such workshop will continue in a number of cities in the Kingdom, including Dammam and Jeddah to discuss ways of cooperation between Saudi Customs and the private sector. And between Mr. Majid Mistirm General Supervisor of the Office of Strategic Transformation that this step comes in fulfillment of the Saudi customs obligations in trade facilitation, the WTO Agreement and in the continuous development of customs services in cooperation with the relevant authorities in line with the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 and the initiatives of customs in the national transformation framework 2020 which aims to be the Kingdom of the logistics centers of excellence among the nations of the world.
