NURBURG: Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus as announced that the SCG 003 has become the fastest vehicle to go around the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Porsche 918 Spyder’s crown of the fastest production supercar to lap the Ring has been stolen recently by a name that doesn’t really say anything to most people: Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus. The SCG 003 is now the fastest production vehicle to lap the famous German track as the model did it in just 6 minutes and 43 seconds ,which is significantly less than what the 918 Spyder achieved, 6:57. The company said that that the SCG 003S could eventually lap the Ring in 6:30 and this is pretty interesting considering the fact that 6:30 is also the objective set by Koenigsegg.
The Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 003 is a very limited edition sports car which has been officially launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The SCG 003 is the third car to be introduced by the company which is owned by James Glickenhaus. The model in question is street legal and it is getting a carbon fiber monocoque chassis. The racing version, SCG 003C, is taking its power from a 3.5 liter V6 twin-turbo engine signed by Honda. The unit is capable of producing a total output of 530 HP (390 kW) at 6,800 rpm and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of torque, available at 4,500 rpm. The unit is connected to a sequential transmission. The SCG 003C weighs 1,350 kg and it has a 49:51 weight distribution. He SCG 003S street legal version has a V12 engine under its hood. Prices for the model start at 2.59m USD.
