SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Sialkot has seized four units of illegally imported engines worth Rs 600,000.
The ASO officials conducted raid following the directions of Collector Model Customs Collectorate Sialkot, and Additional CollectorPalwasha Saeed, under the supervision of Superintendent Irfan herein its jurisdiction.
The ASO team intercepted a vehicle and recovered four units of foreign origin engines on which the team asked the driver to produce the documents showing the legal import of the items.
However, he failed to produce documentary evidence of legal import/lawful possession of the engine, on which the customs officials seized the items.
The sources said the customs has lodged an FIR against the accused person, while further investigation is underway.
