BERLIN: Industrial conglomerate Siemens AG says it plans to cut a further 4,500 jobs worldwide as part of a cost-cutting drive.
Siemens that around 2,200 of the jobs are expected to go in Germany, where it is based. It follows an announcement in February that the company would cut some 7,800 jobs.
The company didn’t give a timeframe for the new round of cuts. Siemens had 341,000 employees at the end of last year in more than 200 countries.
