SINGAPORE: Singapore share prices opened stronger on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) up 9.94 points or 0.3 per cent to 3,342.88 as at 9.01 am, ahead of an emergency meeting of European leaders and finance ministers on Greece.
Top gainers in early morning trade included Great Eastern Holdings, Jardine Matheson Holdings, Singapore Exchange, UOB and Petra Foods.
A total of 50.7 million shares worth S$64.1 million had changed hands as at 9.01am. Gainers outnumbered losers 89 to 50.
